About Michael Lombard, Financial Therapist

Welcome! I’m Michael and I am a Korean American adoptee, a passionate Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Financial Therapist™. With a deep understanding of identity issues, anxiety, and financial trauma, I'm here to guide you on your journey towards healing and empowerment.

I understand the complex layers of identity, belonging, and family dynamics that adoption can bring. These experiences deeply inform my work and fuel my commitment to supporting clients who are exploring their identity, recovering from emotional pain, or trying to make sense of how their past shapes their present. Whether you’re dealing with adoption related trauma, disconnection, or uncertainty, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

In my practice, I specialize financial therapy. I help support clients through anxiety, life transitions and the financial impacts of bigger life decisions. I also recognize how these challenges intersect with broader themes of identity and personal finance. Whether you're grappling with the emotional aftermath of adoption, facing financial uncertainty, or seeking strategies to manage anxiety, I'm here to provide compassionate guidance and evidence-based interventions tailored to your unique needs.

Using a holistic approach rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and systems thinking, I consider the connection between your mental health, relationships, and financial well-being. In our work, we’ll explore your strengths, uncover the patterns keeping you stuck, and build practical strategies to support lasting change.

If you’re feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed by anxiety, or weighed down by financial stress or identity questions, I’m here to help. Thank you for considering me I look forward to connecting with you soon.
